competition to design a club badge

We are thinking of designing a club badge for the Oldham Dojo.This is an example of what we are looking for, so any students who can design one or improve on this design are welcome to do so. Please draw your design on paper or on the P.C and give them to Bryn at the club, please note that your design should be no more than 400 by 400 pixels if designed on the P.C, and no more than three inches if drawn on paper. You can make the badge any shape you want to , square , round etc , it doesn't really matter. The thing to remember is that you need to incorporate certain things into the design such as the club name and any relevant symbols such as the ones below for example.

So in my design you can see that the Kanji has been used and also the club name, i have tried to go with the japanese theme by using a red circle to represent a rising sun (and the colours red white and black) which are distinctly oriental.

here are 2 templates to get you started , just right click and save.then open it up in a graphics editor (or use the link for the online editor) and get designing! the winning design will be made into 20 mm metal pin badges for the round design, or approx 70 mm embroidered for the square or rectangle design.
